Feedback on the Blog Design Change

by Eric deCarbonnel

Sorry for not having any regular updates tonight. I have spent the better part of the evening updating this blog's template, and I am finally done (mostly).

I even got the dumb Email Subscription (I think, haven't fully tested it yet).

Anyway, what does everyone think of the new design?

(I will iron out the kinks tomorrow)

----------------------

I know about background being too bright, not enough colors, etc. I will work on them tonight. Thanks for you patience.

It's different. A lot less color. Drab, dreary, and gray. Guess that's appropriate for your content. Do like the email subscription, though...

Just chatting with a friend last night. She said she had a client, who thinks cash (the USD) is king, and because all other currencies look to the dollar, that the USD could/would never crash.

Talk about American exceptionalism! I suggested that she point her client to your site. She said would be a waste of time. That he was way too stubborn in his beliefs. Guess he voted for McCain as well. Is he in for a rude awakening...

In other news, watching one of my favorite syndicated sitcoms is just not funny anymore. Night Court Season 5, Episode 9: Constitution (1987). The axiom is, that true comedy is born in truth. If we really honor the Constitution, then that episode would be funny. Interesting what imdb.com tagline describes the episode:

"...a crazy man holds an original draft of the Constitution hostage with a cigarette lighter."

Then Part 2 follows:

"Harry has to stand between the crazy hostage taker and a squad of trigger-happy federal agents."

Oh the irony...

I added some color and tweaked a few other things. Is it less dreary now? Also, is the email subscription working ok?

A lot of people are in for a rude awakening and it is easy to understand why. Most people have never lived through an enonomic crisis of this magnitude, so they find it hard to believe that the sky is falling until it hits them in the head. However, if they do believe in the problem, they only believe in one half of it: either deflation or inflation. Very few people understand that it is going to be both because of how much foreign investments contributed to the credit bubble's creation.
