On the subject of conspiracy theories, new currencies, and the dollar collapse

I have heard that some bank of America employees are being trained to handle a new currency, one that would be circulated in Canada and Mexico. This new currency would be the rumored "amero". The "amero" is a currency some claim the fed is secretly creating to replace the dollar after it collapse.

My reaction to the "amero" rumors is that they may be interesting, but not really very important:

1) The dollar is doomed, with or without the existence of the "amero".
2) The investment of choice remains gold, with or without the existence of the "amero".
3) The dollar would have to lose 99% of its value before Americans would even consider giving up the dollar.

So, even if the "amero" exists, what does it really change? I will not be talking about the "amero" again unless I have some solid evidence and see how it is relavant.

(PS: Absolutely do not buy "amero" coins being sold on the internet. Buy physical gold or silver)
