The most noteable is the idea that minors will bypass the bullion banks and close out hedges.  If the future gold is considered collateral, this is possible, albeit illegal.  If the future gold is an actual sale, as the article implies, then it would be fulfilled with actual gold, which will allow the unwinding of the other half of the position.  Or, to put it more simply, if A sells to B, who sells to C, you still only have one net asset obligation and one net financial obligation. The gold to oil ratio is historically been about  10,15-1 barrels to oz.  The current ratio is over 20.  If gold pops oil is going to explode, namely the Canadian energy royalty trusts.  These companies are swinging to profitability, have very high yields and are picking off new reserves.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The only caveat I see is of course from the government.
