The overall weather in the US seems to remain cooler in the next coming years. At least, that's my conclusion when I listen to Mrs. Evelynn Gariss, publisher of the Browning Newsletter. And that not good for foodprodution in the US.

I looked to what happened to the grains in 2007 & 2008 and I noticed that the grains "took off" in november 2007. I think we could see a repeat of that. But I think the grains will not suffer in 2010 like they did in the second half of 2008.

Yes but..Shorted January soybeans Thursday am based upon expectation of huge bean crop, rain notwithstanding. This market was held up about $10 because of all the rain but that prop is now gone and clear weather will primarily prevail for the next couple weeks. Farmers will be flooding the market with beans putting pressure on prices. Yes, crops were hurt by all the rain but not enough to do massive damage. Beans could go to $7-$8 with this huge crop. Tuesday Crop Report will be interesting but I'm not sure how recent their field inspections are. Anyway, that's my bet.

You are right about crops, the etanol here in brazil has rised a lot because of the demand of sugar form the internacional market,in 10 states the gas now worth more that the etanol, the principal reason it is the bad crops of india...i think you could add this news to your next post.

STill not sure wether your just picking the bad bits out of a good overall harvest .
But still, you have convinced me that there is going to be problems, and steep rises in prices.
It s time to invest acordingly.
